Biography

A practice built on time and trust.

Dr. Tetyana Shvets is a family medicine physician who trained at the Florida State University BayCare Family Medicine Residency Program in Winter Haven, Florida, where she cared for patients across inpatient and outpatient settings and served as a resident advisor.

She earned her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree at Lincoln Memorial University – DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine, following a Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry from Florida International University. Her published and presented work includes case reports in Cureus and at FSU conferences.

Her approach is straightforward: unhurried visits, clear explanations, shared decision making, and evidence-based recommendations that fit into a patient's real life.

Philosophy of care

Good medicine takes time. When a physician knows your history, your goals, and your circumstances, care becomes more accurate, more preventive, and far less stressful.

In her words

Why I chose direct care

"I chose direct care because I wanted to practice medicine the way I was trained to — with enough time to ask the second and third question, to explain the reasoning behind a plan, and to be reachable when something changes. Patients deserve a physician who knows them, not a schedule that rushes them."
