About this care at Direct Prime Care
Telemedicine here is not a rotating pool of unfamiliar clinicians. Established patients have virtual visits with Dr. Shvets, who already has their history in front of her.
Virtual visits work well for follow-up on a known condition, medication adjustment and monitoring, laboratory result review, weight-management follow-up, and many straightforward acute concerns.
Some problems genuinely require in-person evaluation — new chest pain, abdominal pain, significant injury, anything needing examination or same-day testing. In those cases the visit is converted to an office appointment or directed to emergency care.
Weight-management follow-up can be provided by telemedicine to patients elsewhere in Florida when clinically appropriate; in-person primary care is based in Winter Haven.

Can my first visit be virtual?
Initial evaluations are generally done in person so a complete history and examination can be performed. Some situations may be handled differently at the physician's discretion.
Do you treat patients outside Florida?
No. Care is provided to patients located in Florida, where Dr. Shvets holds an active medical license.
Are telemedicine visits included in membership?
Virtual visits are part of the primary-care services described in your membership agreement.
