Women's Health
Women's health care in Winter Haven
Much of women's health belongs in primary care — with a physician who has time to hear the whole story and follow it over time rather than in ten-minute fragments.
Overview
About this care at Direct Prime Care
Dr. Shvets provides routine women's health care as part of comprehensive primary care: well-woman visits, screening guidance, evaluation of common symptoms, and discussion of contraception and reproductive health questions within the scope of family medicine.
Concerns that women frequently describe as dismissed elsewhere — fatigue, irregular cycles, weight change, mood change, persistent pain — are worth a real evaluation. That means history, examination where appropriate, and targeted testing rather than a single explanation applied to everyone.
When a condition needs gynecologic, obstetric or other specialty care, the practice coordinates the referral and reviews the results with you afterward.

Common questions
Questions patients ask
Do you provide obstetric or prenatal care?
No. The practice does not provide obstetric or prenatal care. Pregnancy care is referred to an obstetric provider, and we coordinate with them.
Are women's health visits included in membership?
Routine women's health care provided within primary care is part of your membership as described in the membership agreement. Outside testing, imaging and specialty visits are billed separately by those providers.
Can I be seen for a single concern without joining?
The practice is membership-based for primary care. If you are unsure, contact the office and we will explain the options honestly before you enroll.
